These terms govern your use of Converta ("the app"), a storefront translation application for OpoShop stores provided by Found. By installing or using Converta, you agree to these terms.
1. What Converta does
Converta shows your storefront's text to each shopper in their own language, auto-detected from their browser, with a manual language switcher. It reads your store's published text (read-only) and translates it for display. Converta rewrites displayed text only: it does not modify your store, does not touch checkout or payments, and does not place, edit, or fulfill orders.
2. Text only — your prices and checkout are unchanged
Converta changes only how your words appear. Prices, sizes, order numbers and anything else that is not language are never rewritten, and OpoShop checkout works exactly as before. Machine translation is not perfect: you are responsible for reviewing the wording that appears on your store, and Converta gives you a glossary and a do-not-translate list so you can pin anything that matters. Translations are provided on an "as is" basis for display.
3. Merchant control
You control Converta from its dashboard: enable the app, choose which languages to offer, turn auto-detection on or off, set a monthly translation budget, maintain your glossary and do-not-translate list, and style the switcher. The widget appears on your storefront only when you enable it. You are responsible for configuring Converta appropriately for your store and applicable law.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must own or be authorized to manage the OpoShop store you connect.
- You are responsible for the settings you choose, and for reviewing the translated wording that appears on your storefront, so that it is appropriate for your store and complies with applicable law.
- You must keep your OpoShop account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for your own OpenAI or DeepL account, for the charges it incurs, and for complying with that provider's own terms. Converta enforces the monthly character limit you set, but the account and its billing remain yours.
5. Availability
We work to keep Converta reliable but provide it "as is," without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. If a translation provider or Converta itself is temporarily unavailable, your storefront simply shows your own original wording — it is designed to fail safely and never break your store.
6. Data
Your use of Converta is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is accessed and how it is protected. Converta stores no payment card data, has no shopper accounts, uses a shopper's language preference only in the moment (never stored), encrypts your translation provider key and never returns it to anyone, and scopes all data to your store.
7. Fees
Converta is installed through the OpoShop app store. Any pricing is as shown on the listing at install time.
8. Termination
You may uninstall Converta at any time from your OpoShop admin. On uninstall, the widget stops showing on your storefront, we stop processing your store's data, and we will delete it on request.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Found is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Converta, or from the wording that machine translation produces on your storefront.
